Shelly's Fantasies.

As sisters we love chocolate (except obviously Lindsay, poor girl.) We get our love from chocolate from our mother. She loves chocolate anything. Chocolate cookies, chocolate almonds, chocolate caramel squares, chocolate cake bites, or just a dove chocolate candy bar. The list goes on and on. Well one of our families most favorite chocolate cookie is Shelly's Fantasies from Mrs. Fields cook book. The reason these cookies caught our attention as children many many years ago was because 1. they are pure chocolate. and 2. our mother's name is Shelly, which obviously means they are to die for because she approves! They are a rich gooey chocolate cookie! What more can you ask for? Warning: This recipe makes a ton of cookies so you have two options. 1. make the entire original batch and freeze part of the dough for later use. (or later cookie dough enjoyment.) 2. cut the recipe in half and not have cookie dough enjoyment in desperate times of chocolate cravings. Its your choice!

{Pre heat: 375 degrees}

1 1/4 cup Butter {at room temperature}
1 1/2 cup white sugar
1 3/4 cup Brown Sugar
3 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp baking soda
1 cup cocoa
3 cups flour
1 bag white chocolate chips

Mix butter, white sugar, and brown sugar.  Add in eggs and vanilla. Mix until combined.  In a separate bowl combine salt, baking soda, cocoa, and flour.  Add dry ingredients into mixture.  Mix until combined.  The dough should be thick.  Stir in white chocolate chips {this might take some muscle because of the thickness of the dough.} Drop about 1 inch cookie dough on a cookie sheet and bake for approx. 7 min.

Enjoy!

Cinnamon Roll Rice Krispie Treats

These are so easy, fun and totally delicious!!! I love cinnamon rolls, but they are very time consuming, so this alternative is so great! They surprise your taste buds in a lovely way, you will not be disappointed!!!

Cinnamon Roll Rice Krispie Treats

Ingredients

1/4 cup butter
1/8 tsp salt
2 tsp unsulphured molasses
2 tsp cinnamon
1 (10.5 oz) bag miniature marshmallows
1 tsp vanilla extract
6 cups Rice Krispies Cereal

Butter a 9x13 dish, set aside.  Melt butter in a large saucepan over medium low heat.  Stir in salt, molasses, and cinnamon.  Add marshmallows and stir constantly until marshmallows have completely melted.  Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.  Fold in Rice Krispies Cereal, stirring until evenly coated.  Pour Rice Krispie Treat mixture into buttered dish.  Spread mixture evenly into pan with a buttered spatula.  Allow to cool several minutes, then cut while still slightly warm.  Using your hands, round edges of cut squares by cupping your hands around the edges and gently pressing.  Allow to cool completely then pipe Cream Cheese Frosting over tops of Cinnamon Roll Rice Krispie Treats.  Optional, dust the tops lightly with cinnamon.

Alternately, for a simpler method, simply spread Rice Krispie Treats mixture into buttered pan after folding in cereal.  Allow them to cool then spread Cream Cheese Frosting evenly over top with a butter knife or an icing spatula.  Cut into squares

Cream Cheese Frosting
1/4 cup butter, softened
4 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups powdered sugar
